The summer months feel short and precious in Quebec. So, we always have at least one large lab outing for a full day of celebrating the weather. Tuesday was glorious. Blue skies and golden sunshine. We started in the neighbourhood of St. Henri, with brunch at Arthur's Nosh Bar. Being a Tuesday, we were greeted with two tables to accommodate our 8-person party, which is a rarity/nearly impossible at this spot on a weekend. The food was a hit, and the coffee right on point. Here's the gang outside Arthur's. After brunch, we bundled into cars and headed to Laurentian Lanes -- the "#1 Bowling Destination in Montreal," according to their website -- in St. Laurent. We played two sets, in which I tried desperately not to embarrass myself -- and managed only a handful of gutter balls. Everyone had a terrific time, and I was pleasantly reminded of how much fun bowling can be. The undeniable King of the Lanes was Andrew, pictured below, hurtling the ball down for possibly yet another strike. Overall, a fantastic day with a great group.
