Lorena shared her research, mainly from her Plant Phy & Biochem paper, on the utility of transporters in reassembling plant-derived pathways in engineered yeast.

After leaving Quebec, Lorena had to relinquish major institutional and provincial scholarships. She has now successfully replaced them with the prestigious and intensely competitive NSERC Doctoral scholarship (CGS-D). Excited for what will come next for her!

We thank our cohort of undergraduate students who worked exceptionally at their respective projects this Winter semester — on the BiOC99 project, Eshal, Camille, and Gabriel; on their individual BIO98 projects, Abinaya and Dilaksha.

This Summer, we will host Camille to follow up on her work and Aliza who will work closely with PhD student, Lorena.
